City Kitty is an in-home cat sitting service that loves your cats like they’re our own.

We have a passion for ensuring the highest quality of life for cats and the humans who love them. Our services focus on the north side of Chicago, from Rogers Park to Lakeview and as far west as Albany Park.

Why choose us?

Your cat is family, and we know it. Each of our hand selected caregivers are committed to making a deep connection with the health, wellbeing, and varied personalities of each cat in their care. We offer standard services like playtime, snuggle sessions, feeding, litter changing, and we’re uniquely skilled in working with shy cats. Some members of our team are also highly experienced with medicating special needs cats.

City Kitty Cat Care is insured and bonded, certified in pet first aid, professional pet sitter through Pet Sitters International, and several are also Fear Free certified caregivers.

Step One: Request to book

First, you’ll choose one or more services from our Services page. When you’re ready to book, you’ll fill out our form and let us know your requested dates, services, and location. It’s OK if you don’t know exactly what services you want, our team can help you figure it out!

If we have availability and are able to take your request, you’ll hear from us via email within 2 days.

Step Two: Meet and greet

One of our caretakers will schedule a 15-30 minute time to come to your home. During this time, we’ll get to know your cats on their turf. It’s important that we meet your furry friends before you’re gone so that they’ll remember your caretaker’s scent when they arrive later without you there.

During this visit, we’ll also collect 2-3 sets of tested keys.

Step Three: While you’re away

Being apart causes anxiety for everyone. One thing that sets City Kitty apart from other services is our emphasis on communication. We’ll update you with pictures, videos, and notes about what your kitty is up to so that you can relax and enjoy your time away knowing exactly what’s going on during our visit.

Step Four: When you get home

Let us know when you’ve arrived home so we can close your service. We’re happy to continue services if you are delayed, just let us know!
